Corporate Social Responsibility

The Expert Patient Programme in Spain has been mentioned at the Newsletter "Newsbundle" from CSR Europe Alliance because its social interest on:

1) Empowerment of chronic care customers and workers and the support of health customers and on acquire healthy habits (quit smoking, stress management, nutrition, etc).
 
2) Inmigration and Health. There are experiences on running this programme for migrants that had adaptation problems suffering on their health.
 
3) Disability and handicapped people. Improvements on quality of life and diminishing the level of dependency (AHRQ: Agency for Health Research and Quality, US)
 
4) Care of caregivers. Programmes for parents of children with chronic diseases. (Like the "Looking after me" initiative at the UK)
